Joe has had over 40 years of experience in the private, public, and non-profit sectors. He started his career on the General Electric Financial Management Program (FMP), returned to Cornell ILR School for his MILR degree, and then spent nearly 10 years working in the New York State Division of the Budget and as Director of the Budget for the NYS Thruway Authority.
He entered the higher education sector working as Budget Director at Colgate University, VP of Finance & Administration at Allegheny College, Associate Dean of Finance and Planning at University of Virginia, VP of Administration at Washington and Lee University, Associate Dean of Finance, Administration, and Corporate Relations at Cornell ILR School, and is now the VP of Finance, Administration, and Strategic Initiatives at Le Moyne College.
Joe has taught many courses at Cornell University over the past 20 years including Non-Profit Finance, Management, and Leadership; Fundraising and Lobbying; Socially Responsible Business; Budgeting; Finance for HR; Employee Benefits; and has an eCornell certificate series “Financial Success for Non-Profits”. Joe has served on many non-profit boards and is actively engaged in community activities.
